The annual tech fest was held this past Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mater Dei high school. Despite the gloomy skies, hundreds of edtech devotees turned out to learn and share ideas, projects, tips, and student work. A great day was had and the keynote presentation by Rushton Hurley of Nextvista.org was inspiring. Our unofficial photographer, Bob Barboza of Kids Talk Radio captured some highlights of the day.

iPad in Education Workshop on February 11, 2012

This workshop will cover the initial setup of the iPad, how to add content to the iPad, how to make the most of iTunes U, and how to find the best educational Apps available - including Apps for creating content and media on the iPad. An overview of mobile learning in the classroom, cutting-edge 1:1 programs, and volume licensing for education will also be included. Fun hands-on activities and opportunities to explore new Apps make this session a highlight of the conference. Best of all, participants each receive a 16 GB wifi iPad 2 to take with them when they leave!
