Calling ALL Teacher Librarians, ICT Teachers and Library Technicians!

WE NEED YOU AT CUE THIS YEAR!

This year it is more important than ever that you attend the CUE Conference 2010 in Palm Springs.  Even if this was the year that you found yourself back in the classroom, remember “You can take the librarian out of the library, but you can’t take the library out of the librarian!”   

The fact of the matter is that we have never been more needed in K12 education than we are right now!  We will be meeting Thursday March 4^th from 11:30am to 1:30pm, Agua Caliente, Palm Springs Convention Center to discuss essential vision and action that is making a difference! 

The Key Areas of Focus will be:

·         Information Illiteracy, a National Pandemic – The Effect On Higher Education

·         Digital Literacy Standards and the CA School Library Standards – Educational Technology’s Need

·         Cyber Citizenship Leadership found in the School Library Standards – Parent’s Prayers Answered

One example of the power of this direction is a panel of state leaders that will be voicing the importance of the new state school library standards, I hope we will be there to be a witness to their support of school librarianship! - March 5, at 4:00pm
