The mission of the CUE Library Media Educators SIG is to promote an expanded understanding of the unique and essential role of LMTs in educating the school community, and to provide opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. Some of the specific activities include publicizing our work, partnering with other educators, training ourselves and others in information literacy and technology, and supporting each other.

 
Teacher Librarian Videoconference Network (TLVN)

The teacher librarian (aka library media specialist) is one person in the teaching profession that has the mantle of promoting and supporting meaningful collaboration among teachers. Using videoconferencing, teacher librarians have a unique opportunity to help build a strong collaborative, professional network that will positively impact best practices while at the same time raise awareness of twenty-first century librarianship.
